Mandurah Duel

The Mandurah Outrigger Canoe Club celebrates our 25th year paddling in WA by welcoming all Outrigger paddlers, family, friends and volunteers to the Mandurah Duel. The DUEL is an Ocean Paddler Event which is a 17km downwind race that starts at the Dawesville Foreshore Reserve through the Dawesville Cut then follows the coast north to Halls Head and finishes at Doddi’s Beach in front of the Mandurah Outrigger Canoe Club.

 

PROGRAM

10.00am – 12.00 noon: Registration at the Dawesville Estuary , Estuary Road grassed area to the south of the boat ramp ( see map)

12.30pm: (IMPORTANT): Race Briefing: Must be attended by all competitors prior to the race  

1:00pm: All Outrigging craft will be scrutinised by a club or zone official for compliance with AOCRA safety equipment and DOT regulations.

RACE START TIMES

1:30pm – 1:35pm: Race Start

1:30 – OC1’s , OC2’s and Va’a

1:35 – OC6’s

4.00pm: Presentations at Mandurah Outrigger Canoe Club

Please note that start times are firm.  It is mandatory for everyone to attend the official race briefing as any changes to these times will be advised by race officials on the day.

ENTRY FEES

Entry fee $40

Entry includes an icy pole at the finish for each paddler a Mandurah Duel Cap and 25^th  year Celebration meal ticket.

Non Paddlers - $15 for 25^th year Celebration meal ticket.
