NEW AO2024 Coaching & Education Framework - August 2024

The AOCRA Board and National Coaching Team are pleased to announce the rolling out of the new framework.  

With many volunteers invovled over time, the current project and national coaching team kicking offf the transition phase to the new AO2024 Level 1 Coach and AO2024 Level 2 Coach certification with Level 3 modules to be developed.

During July and August 2024 the Zone Coaching Co-ordinators and AO Presenters participated in workshops rolling out the new framework and timeline for next steps to grandfather all existing Level 1 Coaches to the new AO2024 Level 1 Coach certification along with provisional AO2024 Level 2 Coach certification to being assessed and confirmed as Level 2.

There is alot to do in the Transition Phase and the Zone Coaching Coordinators are onboard and ready to help the National Team with delvering the next staps.

In the coming months there will be more information on the new AO2024 Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching courses are scheduled and to be held.

 

Prior to 1 August 2024 - Outrigger Canoe Coaches are an integral part of the club structure

AUSPORT/AIS  and SPORT INTEGRITY/PLAY BY THE RULES CHANGES

1. When completing Pre-requisites or getting course certificates together be aware Sport Australia/AIS has updated their Community Coaching General Principles to Community Coaching Essential Skills from 10.4.2022.  Also if you are trying to find your Certificate pre 17.6.2021 you will have to request a copy through this link

2. Sport Integrity / Play by the Rules Certificates are now renewable every two years and instead of a Certificate per course you can requeste ELearning Certificate showing all your badges and their expiry timeframes to submit with applications.
