Age Division Rules
AOCRA caters for mixed gender and same gender competition, depending on the nature of the actual event.
The following is based on AOCRA's Regatta and Training Rules.
Junior Age Divisions | Age Requirement |
19 Years and Under | Must not turn 20 in the calendar year of competition |
16 Years and Under | Must not turn 17 in the calendar year of competition |
14 Years and Under | Must not turn 15 in the calendar year of competition |
12 Years and Under | Must not turn 13 in the calendar year of competition |
Minnows | Must turn 8 years but not older than 9 years in the calendar year of competition |
Adult Age Divisions | Age Requirement |
21 and Under | 20 to 21 inclusive |
Open | All adults - 20 and above |
Masters | 40 years and above |
Senior Masters | 50 years and above |
Golden Masters | 60 years and above |
Platinum Masters | 70 years and above |
Eligibility criteria for juniors wishing to compete in adult events in the Open division |
a) 19U division may compete in the Open division without the need for parental or coach's consent. b) Junior must be aged 14 years and above and have: i) written parental/guardian permission (on appropriate form) ii) written approval of qualified outrigger specific coach (on appropriate form) |
