AO Downwind Series 2023

We are super excited to announce Ozone Australia and Paddling Promotions are our Series Sponsors for 2023. 

They were keen to continue sponsoring the Downwinder Series in Australia and we are thrilled to have them onboard in partnership to grow ocean downwind racing in Australia

The more times you race the points add up on the Leader Board for the AO Downwinder Perpetual Trophy in:

OC1 – Opens to Opens to Platinum
OC2 – Opens & Masters
V1 – Opens & Masters
Ski – Opens & Masters
OC6 – Opens & Masters 

How it works:  

For the Downwind Series every time you enter and race a downwinder you receive one entry for the Series Prize Pool for OC1/2, V1, Ski.   

Paddlers can win more entries additional entries:

Each Race:  First Place 3 x entries, Second Place  2 x entries, Third  Place 1 x entry  

  Division Winners on the Leaderboard tally after the three events are run  

TOP six on Each Leaderboard:

  First Place 6 x entries  

  Second Place 5 x entries  

  Third Place 4 x entires  

  Fourth Place 3 x entires  

  Fifth Place 2 x entries  

Sixth Place 1 x entry 

All entries in the AO Mini G Downwinder receive 1 x additional entry

You must be presented at Coffs Harbour prize giving to claim a prize otherwise there is a redraw until claimed.

Series Prize Pool:  1 x OC1 = $7,800 and 1 x OC2 = $9,400 and 3 x Palafamala Paddles
