Wavemaster's Geographe Classic

The Geographe Classic is a shallow water/beach relay, consisting of a variety of paddling conditions to suit all members of our Zone. Teams are to paddle down to Meelup Beach, having 4 changes on the way, where we have lunch. After lunch teams enter their endurance crews to paddle straight back to the start.

  • Mixed Category only = minimum 6 paddlers (Max of 10 paddlers per canoe for relay section)

·         Crews are allowed a maximum of 3 men in the canoe at any one time.

·         Junior’s between 14-16 years can do any leg 1 to 4 (with parental and coach permission slip signed)

·         Junior’s 19+ can race in any leg

Leg 1                            Geographe Bay Yacht Club to Abbey Boat Ramp (6.5km)

Leg 2                            Abbey Boat Ramp to Mitchell St (5km)

Leg 3                            Mitchell St to Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club (6.5km)

Leg 4                            Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club to Meelup Beach (8km)

Leg 5                            Meelup  Beach to Geographe Bay Yacht Club (24km)

$50 per person

 

Paddler’s seat fee includes safety craft, lunch, dinner after the race and race souvenir.

 

 

 

All clubs must lodge a CLUB NOMINATION with payment online at www.aocra.com.au

Nominations open March 1st 2019. 

Nominations close at 5pm Wednesday March 27th 2019.
